St. John is a town that was founded in 1837 and is located in Lake County, Indiana with a population of over 15,000 people. It is a well designed community with excellent pedestrian and bicycle trails that make their way through many nice subdivisions. St. John is close enough to Chicago for city fun but still far enough off the beaten path to seek refuge and quiet living. According to the town’s website CNN voted St. John #48 of America’s Best Small Towns.
